A Mt. Shasta Prayer

As is tradition with all my major hikes and adventures, this post is a shared prayer as I prepare to hike and conquer Mt. Shasta this weekend.

Mt. Shasta is one of America's tallest mountains, standing at over 14,000 feet. She is right up there with Mt. Whitney, which the crew and I safely traveled about a month ago.

The purpose of these prayer posts is to set the intention for the experience I want to have and will do everything in my conscious power to create. God/Universe willing, things typically go as planned. 

I am grateful to walk these experiences and tell the tale. May this be yet another one that I return safely, in full health, and with loads of wisdom and fun tales to share.

Let us begin.

Dear Universe, God, Ultimate Observer, Higher Power, That Which Moves Beyond Understanding,

Thank you for blessing me and the team with yet another opportunity to be together and experience journeys that your guidance allows.

As we trek up your mountain, fill us with strength, courage, powerful energy, and more than that which is required to love and complete every millimeter of this trip in full health and happiness.

Bless the team with the mindfulness to prepare the food, water, and gear necessary to cover our basic needs and every challenge we'll face.

Set the environment such that we are stretched to new levels of being, yet are completely safe and experience peace of mind.

Remind us to enjoy the many majestic views, be present, and absorb the life happening at are toes, as well as far as our eyes can see.

May we all learn invaluable lessons that only this kind of adventure will produce. And may we feel the sense of happiness, joy, accomplishment, love, and harmony that creates waves far beyond the time we spend up and down the mountain.

May we return with glorious experiences to share and life changing wisdom. 

Through your power, all of this will happen with grace and ease.

Thank you for being with us and having this trip up and down Mt. Shasta be our best one yet.
