You know you want it. You know that if you die never even going after it, you'll deeply regret it. Right? I'm talking about your Personal Legend (aka your dreams and aspirations).
In "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coello, a shepherd boy sets off on his journey to fulfill his Personal Legend. Along the way he comes across characters, circumstances, and other things that serve a purpose unbeknownst at the time. This is you. This is me. This is us.

To be very blunt, it is 100% possible you and I will never fulfill our Personal Legend. The odds are the same for all of us. But, the only way to give yourself a shot is to go for it. You might fail, you might die, but that's the risk of going after your dreams.
There's a line in "The Alchemist" that reads something like "it is better to die in the pursuit of your dreams than to die never pursuing them." Feel it in your heart and soul that this is true for you too - it's true for me.
Three months into my own Personal Legend, at least the serious pursuit of it, and I'm receiving timely validating experiences that have me KNOW this is the right path for me.
Things like receiving a comment on my YouTube video or a DM on Instagram. People saying things that confirm I'm making a positive impact on others despite low view counts or none at all.
Let this post be an example of what's possible for you and your Personal Legend. I decided in late February of 2018 that I was going to pursue ALL my dreams. It's late May 2018 and things like the above post are happening.
To be clear, I've been training and practicing and failing a lot behind the scenes well before the February decision. BUT, only since February have I put ALL of that together in SERIOUS pursuit of fulfilling my Personal Legend. Prior to that decision I was just dabbling, pretending, SAYING I wanted to go for it all but not ACTUALLY committed.
Once I committed, everything changed.
I don't get positive comments every day. Some days, like I said, I get ZERO views and ZERO likes. But I use the paradigm in THIS VIDEO BELOW to keep me optimistic and unfuckwithable despite all that.
To embody the Alchemist in you, do this: Make the decision that you are going to spend the rest of your life in pursuit of fulfilling your Personal Legend. That you'd rather DIE in pursuit of your dreams than stay safe where you are. That GOING AFTER IT is more important than you even making it. Or worse NEVER EVEN TRYING.
You WILL regret it if you don't do this. And if you take 25 years to finally break down when you're 50 years old, you'll wish you had started NOW.
There is NO safety in working a job you don't like for money. The only certain thing you WILL have is regret.
Be real. Be honest. Admit that you're choosing safety and comfort over your dreams. That you're settling for a life that you think will have you be accepted.
